Third-Party Factory Audits

Know exactly who you are buying from. Our independent factory audits give you a clear, evidence-based picture of a supplier before you place an order — or before a problem reaches your customers.

Overview

A factory audit is an on-site assessment carried out by an independent auditor on behalf of a buyer, brand or importer. It verifies that a supplier is a genuine manufacturer, that it has the equipment, people and processes needed to produce your goods, and that it operates to the standards your business and your customers expect.

Because we have no commercial interest in the outcome, our findings are objective. Every observation is backed by evidence gathered on the shop floor — documents reviewed, processes observed and people interviewed — so you can make sourcing decisions with confidence.

What we assess

  • Company legitimacy, licences and business registration
  • Production capacity, machinery and equipment condition
  • Workforce size, skills and organisation
  • Quality control procedures and inspection points
  • Raw material sourcing, storage and handling
  • Health, safety and working environment
  • Subcontracting and outsourced processes

Why it matters

Lower sourcing risk

Spot capability gaps and red flags before money and reputation are on the line.

Objective evidence

Decisions based on what is happening on the factory floor, not on sales promises.

Stronger supplier base

Compare suppliers on the same criteria and build a reliable shortlist.

Frequently asked questions

When should I commission a factory audit?

Ideally before placing a first order with a new supplier, when moving significant volume to an existing supplier, or when quality or delivery problems suggest something has changed at the factory.

Is the audit announced or unannounced?

Both are possible. Announced audits make it easier to review documentation and meet management; unannounced or semi-announced audits give a more candid view of day-to-day conditions. We will recommend the right approach for your objective.
